SAÇANLAR Central Personal Data Protection Information Notice

This information notice has been prepared by SAÇANLAR (hereinafter referred to as “SAÇANLAR”) in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVKK”), regarding the methods and procedures concerning how personal data transferred to SAÇANLAR can be processed and protected. This document is prepared by taking Law No. 6698 as a legal basis. By publishing this clarification text, SAÇANLAR also fulfills its obligation to inform as required by Article 10 of the KVKK. Please note that this notice will be updated in case of any amendments in the applicable legislation.

Definitions

  • Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
  • Processing of Personal Data: Any operation performed on personal data such as collection, recording, storage, retention, alteration, reorganization, disclosure, transfer, making available, classification, or prevention of use, as well as deletion, destruction, or anonymization after collection.
  • KVKK: The Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698.
  • Data Controller: The natural or legal person who determines the purposes and means of processing personal data and is responsible for the establishment and management of the data recording system.
  • Data Subject: The natural person whose personal data is processed.

Principles Governing Personal Data Processing and Types of Data That May Be Processed

In accordance with legal principles and by taking necessary measures to ensure privacy, SAÇANLAR processes personal data in compliance with the following principles:

  • Lawfulness and fairness
  • Accuracy and, where necessary, up-to-date
  • Processing for specific, explicit, and legitimate purposes
  • Being relevant, limited, and proportionate to the purposes
  • Retaining for the period stipulated by relevant legislation or necessary for the purposes

The types of data processed may include, depending on the nature of the relationship between the data subject and SAÇANLAR:

  • Identity details (name, surname, title, tax status)
  • Contact details (address, phone number, email, fax)
  • Photo, video, and audio recordings
  • Corporate email communications and telephone records
  • Access logs, internet usage logs
  • Camera footage, entry-exit records, magnetic card data
  • Online service user accounts and usage history
  • Meeting records, reports, audit interviews

Note: SAÇANLAR does not process credit card, debit card, or virtual card information.

Method and Legal Grounds for Collecting Personal Data

Personal data is collected electronically through email and membership forms on the website www.sacanlar.com. Data is collected for the purpose of providing better services within the scope of SAÇANLAR’s activities and may be processed based on the conditions and purposes listed under Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK.

Purpose of Processing Personal Data

Your personal data may be processed for the following purposes:

  • Sending newsletters and informing about company events
  • Collecting applications on the website from different user types (employee, employer, investor)
  • Enabling users to submit needs/issues and upload documents
  • Allowing other users to provide solutions to posted issues
  • Facilitating matching between users seeking and offering solutions
  • Contacting users via written or verbal communication
  • Improving service quality and customer satisfaction
  • Collecting and compiling statistical data
  • Delivering documents resulting from services
  • Providing offers and recommendations through partner institutions
  • Evaluating feedback and complaints

Data Storage

Personal data shared with SAÇANLAR is stored under the company’s supervision and control, with technical and administrative measures implemented in accordance with the nature of the data and available technological capabilities.

Sharing and Purpose of Sharing Personal Data

Your personal data may be shared under Articles 8 and 9 of KVKK for the fulfillment of the purposes stated above, with parties including:

  • Counterparties matched for resolving issues via the website
  • Legal advisors, financial consultants, shareholders
  • Domestic and international affiliates and partners
  • Banks, contracted business partners, and third parties

With sufficient protection measures, your data may be processed or stored on servers located in Turkey or abroad in compliance with KVKK requirements.

Deletion of Personal Data

When the purpose for processing your personal data ceases or the legal retention periods expire, your data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized by SAÇANLAR as per Article 7 of the KVKK.

Accuracy and Currency of Personal Data

Data subjects acknowledge that they are responsible for the accuracy and currency of their personal data. Updates or corrections should be submitted to SAÇANLAR via the provided communication channels.

Exceptional Circumstances

Your data may be disclosed in limited cases such as:

  • To comply with legal obligations under current laws
  • To fulfill and enforce contracts signed with users
  • Upon request by authorized judicial or administrative bodies
  • To protect user rights or safety

Application Channels and Your Rights

As a data subject, you have the following rights under Article 11 of the KVKK:

  • To learn whether your personal data is being processed
  • To request information if processed
  • To learn the purpose and whether it is being used accordingly
  • To know the third parties to whom your data is transferred
  • To request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data
  • To request deletion or destruction under certain conditions
  • To object to adverse outcomes from automated processing
  • To claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing

SAÇANLAR will respond to your request as soon as possible and within a maximum of 30 days. If the request incurs an additional cost, a fee may be charged as per the tariff set by the Personal Data Protection Board.
